By accessing or using StoryForge AI ("Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and StoryForge AI.

2. Description of Service

StoryForge AI is a free AI-powered story generation service that allows users to create original narratives through text descriptions. Our Service includes:

• Text-to-story generation
• Multiple story genre options
• Story copy and download functionality
• Adjustable story length options
• Daily usage limits (5 generations per day for free users)

The Service is provided free of charge for basic use and does not require user registration. Premium subscriptions are available for unlimited access.

3. Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service. By using our Service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 13, you may not use this Service.

4. Permitted Use and License

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

• Access and use our Service for personal or commercial purposes
• Generate stories using our AI models
• Use generated stories in any project, including commercial projects
• Modify, edit, and remix generated stories as you see fit

You retain full rights to use the stories you generate. The content is yours to use and does not require attribution (though attribution is appreciated).

5. Usage Limits and Fair Use

To ensure fair access for all users, we impose a daily generation limit of 5 stories per IP address/device for free users. This limit resets daily at midnight UTC. Premium users enjoy unlimited access. Attempts to circumvent this limit through technical means (such as VPNs, proxies, or automated scripts) is prohibited and may result in access being blocked.

6. Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
• Generate content that is hateful, discriminatory, or harmful
• Generate prohibited content including child sexualization or real-person threats
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or exploit our AI models or technology
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers connected to the Service
• Impersonate StoryForge AI or misrepresent your affiliation with us
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Use the Service to generate stories for resale as competing AI story services

7. User Content and Prompts

You retain ownership of any text prompts or descriptions you submit to our Service. However, you grant us a license to use, process, and analyze your prompts solely for the purpose of generating your requested story and improving our AI models. We do not claim ownership of the generated story output.

8. Intellectual Property Rights

The Service, including its technology, software, AI models, website design, and content (excluding user-generated stories), is owned by StoryForge AI and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not use our trademarks, logos, or proprietary technology without our prior written consent.

9. Generated Story Ownership

You own the stories you generate. Generated content is provided to you free of copyright restrictions. You may use it for any purpose, personal or commercial, without paying royalties or fees. StoryForge AI does not claim ownership of generated stories and does not require attribution.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STORYFORGE AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS EXCEED $100.

12. Service Availability and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We may also impose limits on certain features or restrict your access to parts or all of the Service without notice or liability.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StoryForge AI from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which StoryForge AI is established, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

16. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify. The arbitration shall be conducted in English and governed by the rules of the relevant arbitration association.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will continue in full force and effect.

18. Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and StoryForge AI regarding your use of the Service, superseding any prior agreements.

20. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
